In Memoriam. 4/18/2005
On the 12th of April last year, Franco passed away in a road accident in Thailand. On Sunday, a group of us from the club rode down to his final resting place to pay our respects and to remember him.
We met up at a fuel station in one of the suburbs, and rode down the highway to the port, where the cemetary is. Franco’s brother, Vulcanizer, and his sister in law met up with us, and we went to his graveside.
I was asked by Vulcanizer to say a few words, and I did so, choking back tears. Several other brothers were not even bothering to hold back, crying unashamedly for the loss of Franco. We lit some candles, and drank some beer, to celebrate Franco’s life, and to cherish his memory.
