Had another walkaround today, in the Burns Ward. 10 isolation rooms, with ICU/HDU configuration, including beds to match. 5 of the rooms have burns baths to complement the room. The baths are used for exfoliation for burns victims. In case you don’t know what that means, someone with body burns is lowered into the bath, and then the dead skin from the wounds is scrubbed away using an antiseptic solution.
Yes, it’s more painful than it sounds. I’ve seen the process, and there’s blood dripping, and the patient, if not sedated adequately, will be screaming in pain. So kids, this is the reason why your mummy told you never to play with matches.
At this point in time, I’m still awaiting written confirmation to tell me to get the fuck off this site, and into the new place. Apparently there has been much discussion about remuneration at contract signing level, with the 2 parties being unable to agree on the quantum of compensation. Excuse the big words, but I just read the pre-bid submission documents, and my head is swimming in legalese. Obfuscation is what we pay lawyers for, I guess.
So I’m just sitting here, not wanting to really get involved with anything new in this place, just in case I’m not around to see it finished. C.S.S.D has come to a complete halt, with the promises made by the vendor not being fulfilled. I’ve totally given up on the idiots. They don’t respond, ignore reminders, disregards threats. Just because they happen to be politically connected. Nepotism and cronyism has a lot to be blamed for.
