Busy busy. 7/7/2005

Reported in today, and as expected, a thousand things pertaining to our personal administration have not been resolved. Authorisation letters, notifications of transfer, renegotiation of contracts, absolutely nothing has been done. It sometimes befuddles me how this organisation manages to go on the way it does.

K., H., the Jerkoff and I reported in today. Jerkoff immediately started boasting about the layout of the Imaging suite, and “we are now the end user and we can do this and that, and make comments as we see fit.” My reply to that was, “Assuming you’re qualified to do so.” He felt it, and asked me to clarify what I said. I just turned away and mumbled something about having to do some surfing on the internerd.

I’ve been running through the building plans, and was informed during an informal meeting this morning that the soft start date for this place is going to be March next year. I said a silent “Fuck me” during the meeting. There is no possible way that date is going to be met, simply because the initial procurement for phase 1, which involves the heavy packages like imaging have already proceeded. To ensure that we have everything we need, Phases 2 and 3 will also have to be in place, and those phases have an end date of July 2006.

No chance in hell baby. No chance.
