Reader’s Bikes. 12/9/2005

I’ve just added a new category to Hunting the Snark. It’s called “Reader’s Bikes.” As you all know, much of Hunting the Snark is devoted to one of my passions, motorcycles. And I have attracted a certain number of riders amongst my readers.

And the one thing bikers have in common is that we are proud of our rides. Hence, the starting up of a new category, where we can have a look at what we ride.

If you have a ride you’d like to show off, drop me a line in the comments. It doesn’t matter what you ride, as long as you take pride in it.

I’ve had a lot of bikes in the last 40+ years, but no picture gives me more pleasure than this one of my friend’s 3 yr old boy astride my last Beemer. He loved “riding” it whenever he came over. The photo was taken in the UK, where I used to live. Now relocated to KL, and bikeless (jeez, the prices here!) but enjoying your blog until I get mobile again.
I was a London despatch rider in the 80’s, legendary times, and have had some great track days as well - Brands Hatch on a Triumph Trident900, orange peeled a set of new Bridgestones, hehehehe - and rolled the Beemer around on one pot (and one ankle!).
Great blog! Though KL traffic is, bleugh!
