Bah! Humbug! Part II. 12/21/2005
I walked in the office this morning, fired up the laptop, put my things away and generally started trying to kick start my brain. The “You have mail” icon popped up. I clicked on it, and discovered that I will be working on Christmas and Boxing Day. Which sucks donkey balls.
I was hoping to be spending some time at home, perhaps doing some solo riding across the country. Instead, I’ll now be sitting on site, supervising a heavy lift. I know the timeline is pressing hard, and we are being pressured to meet a very unrealistic completion schedule. But this is sucky.
I’ll be there merely to ensure safety supervision for the lift. Jerkoff is the co-ordinator in charge, so he’s supposed to be responsible, but he knows nothing, and is just going to behave like he does. I think I’ll turn up for work in a Santa Claus suit.
