Gee… how do you know all their names ah? Actually pulling your leg only. The one I saw is like for TUDM solder used. You know the one they use it for war fight. 6 of them and they are flying real low.
Hijackqueen : How do I know all their names? Try this. http://www.huntingthesnark.net/?p=534
Dem! I might as well sit down tomorrow and read all your archieve!!!
Singapore has Blackhawks? man. Malaysia needs to get some Somali militiamen as militray advisors!
Adrian : That particular Blackhawk belongs to the R.M.A.F. It has extended range tanks, floatation pontoons and an EW suite comparable to anything the US military has. It’s used for V.I.P. transport, the local equivalent to Marine One and Two, but not quite as nice inside. As for Somali militiamen, I believe that the Malaysian UNFOR group gave a good show of themselves rescuing the US Rangers, events portrayed in “Blackhawk Down” notwithstanding. And yeah, Singapore has Blackhawks too.
One of the funniest debates I ever had in a previous life (career) was exactly how long the Singapore armed forces would last if we decided to do something about it. The concensus was that the SG boys would give as good as they got, but would either prevail through help of allies, or fold up after being bloackaded.
Whichever happens, the cost would be too high anyway. Going to war, while sounding glamourous, is not pretty.
I dunno why but when I read your blog, i automatically thought thatu are a Singaporean! Sorry. Actually, it’s a compliment (in a warped kinda way). Agree with u about going at it hammer and tongs with South Joho … ooops, Singapore. We’ll both get bloody noses. Not nice.
